Description of Main Functions

The Bar Leader is responsible for ensuring that all bar operations are carried out efficiently and in accordance with established standards. This professional focuses on practical day-to-day tasks, leading the team and supervising the execution of services to provide a high-quality experience for customers.

Qualifications and SkillsDuties and Responsibilities | Regular Tasks

  1. Team Management: Coordinates the team of bartenders, barbacks and preps, ensuring that everyone knows their roles and follows service standards. This includes constant training, motivation and conflict resolution to maintain a positive and productive work environment;
  2. Inventory Control: Monitors the stock of drinks, ingredients and equipment, placing orders with suppliers according to demand. Checks the quality of products and controls waste, aiming to keep the bar always stocked and minimize costs;
  3. Financial Management: Analyzes the bar's financial performance, such as revenue, expenses and profit margin. It also works to control costs and contributes to the definition of prices for drinks and cocktails, in order to maximize profitability, in partnership with the F&B Manager;
  4. Customer Service: Works directly in the room introducing new drinks or seeking feedback on customer experiences. 
  5. Operations Supervision: Organizes the daily logistics of the bar, including the cleaning and organization of the space, the operation of equipment and compliance with safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
  6. Menu Development and Innovation: Participates in the creation and updating of the menu, suggesting new drinks and cocktails that are in line with trends and the target audience. It also promotes events and activities to attract customers.
  7. Relationship with Suppliers: Maintains effective communication with suppliers, negotiating prices, delivery times and seeking new partnerships to improve product quality and reduce costs.

  • Excellent communication skills to deal with staff and customers effectively.
  • Financial management to optimize resources and achieve profitability goals.
